Married life

Mark and I have now been happily married for nine months. Of course, life hasn't been perfect, but we are working on building a good foundation for the rest of our marriage. Our friend Alyssa took some pictures of us the other day, because she was raising money to bike across America for the purpose of raising money to provide fresh drinking water to underprivileged countries.

We had an really fun time taking pictures, even though the day started off very cloudy and rainy. We ended up going to Starbucks, a rare treat for us, and we took some pictures there, posing with our coffee.

This year, we celebrated Hanukkah. You may wonder why we did this, since we are not "Jewish". We started attending a Messianic synagogue. This is a place where Jews and gentiles can come to worship the messiah of Israel, Yeshua (also known as Jesus). We still attend a protestant church on Sundays, but we have become very involved with the synagogue. It was very fun celebrating Hanukkah. We lit our menorah, aka hanukkia. We light the seventh light tonight, and the eight and final light tomorrow.
